The person making the booking is responsible for the conduct of their party. Parents must always assume responsibility for their children. Under 18’s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party are aware of the Park Rules.
Occupation of a pitch implies the acceptance of the owner’s Terms and Conditions and Booking Conditions / Park Rules. We accept no responsibility or are not liable for damage, loss or injury incurred on the site, however caused.
Bookings – Deposit and balance
We require a £40 deposit per week/part week booked to reserve pitches in advance.
Deposits are non-refundable and are not transferable to an alternative date. Failure to arrive or contact us by 10.30am of the next day after the arrival date, we will assume you no longer require the booking, and the pitch will be re-let.
Anyone becoming ill due to COVID-19 the above still applies.
Cancellation Policy
Deposits are non-refundable and are not transferable to an alternative date.
Cancellations between 30 and 3 days before arrival 7% of the balance payment will be retained, no refunds will be given for cancellations within 2 days of arrival.
Changes Caused by Exceptional Circumstances
We may make reasonable changes to our Services. Our changes may reflect changes in relevant laws, guidance and regulatory requirements or implement minor technical adjustments and improvements, for example to address a health and safety risk.
If we make changes which mean we can only provide your holiday in a radically different way, we will give you the choice between confirming your booking, agreeing new booking dates with us, or cancelling. We prefer that you postpone rather than cancel but will always allow you to cancel where the law gives you the right to do so.
Either of us has the right to cancel your holiday, or any unused days, if the law prevents you from visiting or staying with us or because we are no longer able to provide your holiday for any other reason outside our control.
If you decide to cancel in any of these circumstances and your holiday has not started, then we will refund your booking in accordance with our Cancellation Policy.
Either of us may also cancel your holiday, or any unused days, if Government guidance means that you should not visit or stay with us, even if the law still allows you to do so. If we cancel and your holiday has not started, then we will refund your booking in full including any deposit. If your holiday has started, then we will refund in full any days unused when we cancel. We will not charge an administration fee and we will not deduct any Direct Costs. If you cancel in these circumstances, we will refund on the same basis but may deduct any Direct Costs. In neither case will we be liable to make any other payment to you.
Group Bookings
We have a limit of 3 pitches in a group booking – unless otherwise agreed. You must tell us if your booking request is connected to any other booking, for example because you know the other party or you share a common purpose in visiting the park.
Direct Bookings / Direct Website Bookings
The full balance is payable no later than 5 days prior to arrival. This can be paid by bank transfer, debit or credit card over the phone, or online if you booked through our website. You will receive a booking confirmation email along with a copy of these Terms and Conditions, and Booking Conditions / Park Rules, which we require you to read prior to arrival, failure to comply with these conditions may cause your booking to be cancelled/terminated with no refunds given. A balance reminder email will be sent to you 7 – 10 days before your arrival.
Pitch up Bookings
Payment is taken automatically. You will receive a booking confirmation email along with a copy of these Terms and Conditions, and Booking Conditions / Park Rules, which we require you to read prior to arrival, failure to comply with these conditions may cause your booking to be cancelled/terminated with no refunds given. Your balance will be due 30 days before your arrival.
Early Departures
No refunds can be given if you depart prior to the end of your booking period.
Bank Holidays
There is a minimum 3 nights booking for Easter and May Day bank holidays and 5 nights minimum booking if it falls during Spring Bank and August bank holidays.
Pitch Requests
We do our very best to accommodate requests for specific pitches however this cannot be guaranteed, and bookings are not conditional on this. Refunds will not be given where pitch requests have changed from the time of booking.
Standard of Unit
All units must be well maintained and in good condition to be permitted on site. No refunds given if a unit is not deemed acceptable.
GDPR
Privacy Notice to be read and accepted, along with terms and conditions. Any personal data you give to us will be processed in accordance with the law and our Privacy Notice.
Campervans & Minivans
Only DVLA Specification conversions or manufactured campervans or mini vans are allowed. Car camping is NOT allowed.
Converted motorhomes/campervans must be constructed to include living accommodation with the following; seats and a table, cooking facilities, storage facilities and sleeping accommodation which may be converted from the seating.
Caravans
Continental touring caravans (caravans built with the door on the right-hand side) are not permitted.
Liability
We shall not be liable for any Force Majeure Event (FME). For every day on which FME means you are unable to stay with us, we may choose to either give you a pro rata refund or allow you to book another day’s holiday with us without charge.
FME
A FME means any circumstances affecting our business which is not within our reasonable control including, without limitation:
- Acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake, or other natural disaster.
- Collapse of buildings, fire, explosion, or accident.
- Non-performance by suppliers or sub-contractors
- Interruption or failure of utility services.
- Epidemic or pandemic situations including, but not limited to COVID-19
Exclusions
Neither Whitemead Caravan Park nor any employee servant or agent shall be liable or any loss of, or damage to any property including tents, awnings, motor vehicle and motorcycles or the like or any death, injury loss or other damage, directly or indirectly sustained by or occasioned to any person, unless caused by our negligence
Negligence
No clause in this contract shall limit our liability for damage or loss caused by our negligence.
Weather
Whitemead Caravan Park accepts no responsibility for damage to tents, vehicles, awning, due to adverse weather conditions. Take any damaged items home with you, we are not responsible for their disposal.
Complaints
We are confident that you will be happy with our service. If you do have any complaint, we encourage you to discuss it with us as soon as possible as this gives us the best chance of resolving it with you. If you remain unhappy, please contact us within 28 days of your departure and we will try to help.
BOOKING CONDITIONS / PARK RULES
Please take the time to read this important information. We hope that by following these guidelines it will help to make everyone’s stay a happy and safe one.
Whitemead have carried out all necessary Risk Assessments for each area of the park.
We can confirm that we have complied with the Governments guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19.
Health and safety legislation and compliance with government advice and guidance whilst staying at Whitemead Caravan Park.
Hygiene
Wash hands more regularly, using soap and water, where soap and water are not available, please use sanitiser. Gloves are advised to be worn when using water stations, grey waste and Elsan point.
Action
If you or anyone in your party should feel unwell during you stay and suspect that you or they are suffering from COVID-19 please email or telephone to inform us and make arrangements to leave the site as soon as possible to self-isolate at home. You should refrain from using the Elsan and water points.

Arrival & Check in
You should have received full information by email prior to arrival, if you have not, please contact the site 24 hours before you are due to arrive.
Arrival time
Please note no arrivals after 6pm.
On arrival at site, please press the reception button on the intercom on the main gates (not the gates to the left of you), speak to reception who will advise what to do next. Please remain in your car until a member of staff comes to greet you and show you to your pitch.
Gate Codes
Gate codes and instructions will be given to you once checked in. These codes should not be given to anyone under any circumstances.
Departure Times
Please vacate your pitch by 10.30am on your day of departure. If you wish to stay longer, please ask beforehand. An extension fee of £10.00 until 3pm may be possible if your pitch is not booked out on that day.
Pitching
Please follow the management directive when pitching your tent/caravan or motorhome and related equipment. Please do not encroach on someone else’s pitch. Please keep your pitch and the facilities tidy and clean. No corralls, only 1 windbreak per pitch.
Day Visitors
Day visitors are welcome at Whitemead, please let us know before they arrive. We require a car registration number or the make/model/colour and ask that their cars are parked in the designated area. The hosts are responsible for the behaviour of their guests and to ensure that all visitors register at reception on arrival and pay the appropriate fee /s. All day visitors must vacate the park by 8pm.

Children
All children must be supervised whilst on the park and are the responsibility of their parent/guardian during their stay and children under the age of 16 should not be left unsupervised on the pitch or on the park at any time.
Never allow children to play near or in the streams/rivers, as there are areas of deep water.
An adult must accompany children under the age of 10 to the toilet / shower block.
Play Area
Children entering the play area should always be under parental supervision. It is parents’ responsibility to wipe the equipment hot spots with sanitiser prior to use. Children must not play on the play area after dusk.
Games
No ball games or water pistols/water bombs are allowed on the park.
Speed Limit
The Speed limit is 5mph. Please always observe this for safety reasons.
Dogs
We welcome well behaved dogs on the park; not more than 3 dogs on any pitch; not to include any of the breeds subject to the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
Dogs, cats, and other pets are not permitted in the Toilet / Launderette / Shower Block and Childrens Play Park.
Any pet or animal you bring must be supervised by and under the control of you, or of a responsible adult in your party at all times. This means you may not leave any pet or animal unsupervised on the pitch or anywhere on the park at any time, apart from small pets which live in a cage, aquarium or similar. Nor may you leave any pet or animal under the supervision of any person aged under 18.
If you do not supervise and control any pet or animal, we are likely to ask you to remove it from the park straight away. This is because we cannot allow the safety of others to be put at risk.
If you see another pet or animal anywhere on the park which does not appear to be supervised by and under the control of a responsible adult, or whose behaviour gives a cause for concern please tell us straight away.
Please exercise your animals off the park. Fouling must be cleaned up immediately. Animal food must not be left unattended at any time, as this can attract rats etc. Failure to comply may result in you being asked to leave the park.
Facilities (Toilets/Showers/Laundry and Washing Up)
We ask customers to mop showers and clean toilets with brush after use, also always consider other customers and staff. We do need everyone’s co-operation so as the facilities can remain open.
ALTHOUGH THE FACILITIES WILL BE OPEN IN THE EVENT OF ANY HEALTH RISKS WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THEM PERMANENTLY AT ANY TIME.
Cleaning of Toilet and Shower Block and Washing up
Please leave enough time prior to 12.00pm to use the facilities as they will be closed between 12.00pm -2.00pm for deep cleaning. One toilet will remain open for any emergency use. The toilet facilities will also be cleaned between 8.30am – 9.30am and 8.30pm – 9.30pm but will remain open for your use.
The washing up/laundry will also be closed between the above times.
Water
Water hoses must not be used for washing caravans, cars or equipment.
Your Caravan – Precaution against Legionella
Flush through water systems to clear our stagnant water, especially shower heads which should be held away from the face to avoid inhaling spray. Also do not forget your water carriers.
Grey Waste
Waste masters must always be used, water drainage systems are not allowed. Please do not let your water drain directly onto the pitch, into the brook/hedges around the site as this will contaminate the water and is harmful to wildlife. Waste masters should be emptied at the Elsan point at the side of the Toilet / Shower Block.
Motorhome Grey Waste
Service is available, please speak to a member of staff if required.
Toilet Waste
All toilet waste to be emptied at the Elsan point which is situated next to the toilet/shower block. Please always use chemical solution in your toilet.
Washing
NO WASHING LINES ARE ALLOWED. Please use unit window drying rails, rotary lines, and the tumble dryer will be available in the laundry/washing up room.
Re-Cycling and Rubbish
The recycling centre is situated next to the Elsan point next to the Toilet / Shower Block. You can re-cycle, plastic and glass bottles, tins, aluminium cans, cardboard, and paper. All other waste, please use the black bins provided which are situated in the bins stations around the park.
Please note there is no facility for disposal of any unwanted/broken camping equipment, please take it home with you, thank you. There is a Council tip in Wareham should you want to use it – please ask at Reception for details.
Electric Hook-up – 10 Amps
Site supply is 10 amps, please ensure you do not overload i.e. domestic kettles or multiple appliances. It is the responsibility of the camper to ensure that the plug, cable and associated sockets used to connect between the hook up point and the camping unit is safe.
Gas Bottles
Only gas bottles that fit in a caravan gas locker are permitted. No gas bottles to be stored in awnings or on the pitch.
BBQ’s
We do not allow any type of campfire including fire pits. BBQs are permitted for cooking food only and must be kept off the ground at all times to avoid burning the grass. We provide bricks for your convenience, situated in bin stations. Burning wood or rubbish on your BBQ after you have finished cooking is not permitted as this is a fire hazard.
FIRE PITS AND PARAFFIN LIT TORCHES, BIRD FEEDERS & DRONES ARE NOT ALLOWED
Noise
Please be respectful to your fellow guests and keep noise, including playing music and television volume, to a reasonable level. We ask that you to keep noise level to a minimum between 10.00 pm and 7.00 am. The management reserve the right to terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.
Fire Assembly Point
This can be found near to the main entrance of the site in the middle field by pedestrian gate.
Freezer Blocks
If you wish us to freeze blocks these must be put into a bag with your name on and brought to reception. The cost is 50p per block, payable on collection correct money please.
Early Departures
No refunds can be given if you depart prior to the end of your booking period.
Park Rules
Our promises to you
We will allow you to stay with us for the duration of your booking for holiday and recreational purposes, provided you comply with your obligations in these booking conditions and park rules and except where exceptional circumstances prevent us from doing so.
We will provide, maintain, and keep in good state of repair the Services, except where these must be interrupted temporarily for the purposes of repair or development or for other reasons caused by exceptional circumstances outside our control.
Your promises to us
You agree that you will:-
- Keep to these terms and conditions and the Booking Conditions and Park Rules.
- Stay with us only for holiday and recreational purposes.
- Pay promptly for your holiday and other charges due to us.
- Not cause any damage during your holiday.
- Not do or fail to do anything which might put us in breach of any condition of the Site Licence, which is always available on the Park in a conspicuous place.
- Not make any alteration to any accommodation or Pitch.
- To permit us to move you to another location on the Park if necessary. We will ensure that any alternative location will be of similar quality.
- You agree to, and you must make sure that you, your party, and any visitors (including, in each case, their children) keep to, the following standards of behaviour:
- To act in a courteous and considerate manner towards us, our staff and anyone visiting, using or working on the Park including other customers.
- To supervise children so that they are not a nuisance or danger to themselves or other people using the Park.
Not to:-
- Commit any criminal offence (whether or not on the Park or in its vicinity) which causes your name to be entered on the Violent and Sex Offender Register or causes you to be subject to a Risk of Sexual Harm Order or Child Abduction Warning Notice (or any register, order or notice succeeding these);
- Use the Park in connection with any criminal activity or commit any other criminal offence at the Park or in its vicinity;
- Commit any acts of vandalism or nuisance or on the Park;
- Use fireworks / Chinese lanterns on the Park;
- Keep or carry any firearm or any other weapon on the Park;
- Keep or use any unlawful drugs on the Park;
- Create undue noise or disturbance or commit antisocial behaviour on the Park;
- Carry on any trade or business at the Park;
- Permit anyone who is to your knowledge on the Violent and Sex Offender Register or subject to a Risk of Sexual Harm Order or a Child Abduction Warning Notice (or any register, order or notice succeeding these) to use or visit the Park.
You agree that if you or any of your family members or visitors or guests whom you have invited to the Park break the behaviour standards listed above then we may terminate your booking.
All Park customers will be required to follow the rules. The Park Staff will be asked to ensure the new rules are being followed. Failure to comply with your fair and reasonable park rules will be a breach of the customers’ agreement with the Park. The customer and his party will be asked to leave the site with immediate effect. With NO refunds given.
