Monkey World is a 65-acre ape rescue centre set in the Dorset countryside near Wool.
The centre provides a home for more than 250 rescued and endangered primates from around the world. Visitors can see chimpanzees, orangutans, gibbons, monkeys, lemurs and other primates living in carefully managed social groups.
Many of the animals have been rescued from neglect, abuse, illegal trade or unsuitable living conditions. A visit provides an opportunity to learn about their individual stories and the centre’s international rescue, rehabilitation and conservation work.
Monkey World has been helping primates since 1987 and has become known to many visitors through the television programmes Monkey Life and Monkey Business.
Located just a short journey from Whitemead Caravan Park, Monkey World offers an educational and enjoyable day out for visitors of all ages.
